Trust-Based Relational Intervention

Early childhood influences later life.

Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI) draws from various theoretical and applied research based on attachment theory’s life-transforming principles.

A child’s experience in the first one-to-two years of life will determine how they relate to the entire world.

It will affect friendships through childhood, family interactions, job performance, and of course, marriage and parenting as an adult.

Early intervention enhances resilience.

TBRI is a holistic, evidence-based, attachment-based, and trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of children. The approach promotes resilience in the face of trauma and comprises three principles.

The Connecting principles include strategies to build healthy, trusting relationships. The Empowering principles employ strategies to meet physical needs and promote a safe, predictable environment. And the Correcting principles provide proactive and responsive strategies to reduce the effect of stressful situations.

TBRI meets the needs of all children.

Originally designed for children who have experienced trauma, TBRI has proven to be effective with all children.

TBRI provides refreshing insights and practical tools for parents, caregivers, teachers, or anyone who works with children to help those in their care reach their highest potential.

I use TBRI in my therapy sessions and train many organizations and institutions to connect and care for children from hard places.

Let’s help your child reach their potential.

Please contact me if you would like to receive TBRI training for your church, school, or organization.

It pays to begin early because later interactions impact your child’s adult life as well.
